Hewson Grey is a four piece Indie collective hailing from Edmonton, AB and Ayrshire, Scotland. Think Volcano Choir having a conversation with Ryan Adams in an elevator ran by Radiohead. Brought together in a classic Edmonton blizzard, Joe Paonessa and Stuart Bell, spent the good part of the winter crafting songs, developing their distinct sound. With the addition of drummer Ryan Crampton and Caleb Bradley on bass, Hewson Grey have revved up their live shows often times leading audiences on a mind-expanding voyage. At the top of their game, Hewson Grey released their first single “Dancing In The Rain”, on a split 7″ record through Sometimes Music (June 17th 2016). The single went on to be nominated for “Single of the Year” in Banks Radio Australia’s Indie music awards. Their debut EP “Montes et Mare” followed on September 9th, 2016 (Sometimes Music) and was welcomed with airplay from college stations across Canada including CJSR Edmonton and CFBX Kamloops where the EP charted to #7 and #15 respectively on the Exclaim Earshot charts.
