Mutoid Man w/ If These Trees Could Talk & Gary Debussy | Friday, October 7, 2016
Akron’s If These Trees Could Talk have been putting their unique metal influenced stamp on exploratory post-rock since their humble beginnings as an instrumental project during college. Formed by guitarists Jeff Kalal, Cody Kelly, and Mike Socrates, bassist Tom Fihe, and rounded out by drummer Zach Kelly, the instrumental quintet released their first self-titled debut EP in 2006, and continued to produce their first full-length album, Above the Earth, Below the Sky, in 2009, followed up by their sophomore effort, Red Forrest, in 2012. In 2014 the band signed to Metal Blade Records, with plans to start a new album. The latest offering from If These Trees Could Talk, The Bones of a Dying World, is set to be released on June 3, 2016.
