Punk rock has always been in the blood of Ben Stevenson (guitar/vocals) and John Watson (drums). Under the name Misdemeanour, the band garnered a solid reputation in the local punk scene. In 2000, eager to take on bigger cities and new challenges, the band moved to Montreal, changing their name to Our Mercury. But the call of dirt city was too strong, prompting their return in 2002. Reunited with their productive and creative impulses, the band — rounded out by bassist Joseph Lubinski-Mast, and keyboardist Eric Budd — signed to Farway Records in 2003, with the release of their album Your Medicine. It was during this tour that Our Mercury signed to Smallman Records. In 2007, after 12 years of playing together, Our Mercury played their last Edmonton show alongside Shout Out Out Out Out. Don’t miss your chance to relive the good ol’ punk rock memories as Our Mercury reunites for a special show at UP+DT 2016!
