Seeing Reverend Horton Heat live is a transformative experience best described as “tantamount to injecting pure musical nitrous into the hot rod engine of your heart.” Formed in 1985, the Reverend Horton Heat exploded on to the scene in their hometown of Dallas, TX, with their unique brand of psychobilly rock – lyrics that celebrate sex, drugs, booze, cars, and true to their name, feature mock sermons in the style of a rural revivalist preacher mixed in with roaring distorted guitars that rock as hard as any punk band. The Reverend (as both the three-piece band and its guitar playing frontman are known) have established a steady cult following through their constant touring and manic showmanship, not to mention their million plus album selling career that has landed their music in countless TV shows, movies, and commercials.
