Talk about a blast from the past! Out of Toronto, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet formed back in 1984 and are most commonly known for creating the theme song for The Kids in the Hall, “Having an Average Weekend.” Originally comprised of Reid Diamond (lead vocals / bass), Brian Connelly (guitar / keyboard / backing vocals), and Don Pyle (drums / backing vocals), the trio emits a surf-punk vibe. Throughout the latter half of the 80s, the band released a consistent flow of music; however, it wasn’t until 1990 that their first full-length album was released, titled “Savvy Show Stoppers”. In the following years, two more albums were released, “Dim the Lights, Chill the Ham” and “Sport Fishin’”. After the band split up in 1995, the members focused on individual ventures. When Reid Diamond unfortunately passed away in 2001, Dallas Good of the Sadies stepped up to continue on the legacy.

We proudly welcome the reunion of Brian Connelly and Don Pyle with Dallas Good as Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, performing this fall at UP+DT.
