The Scrags started out as a classic stripped down rock ‘n’ roll outfit. Early on, they earned a reputation for their energetic live performance where anything could happen (and happened). They were called notorious rock ‘n’ roll bastards, raised on a healthy diet of The Stooges, Modern Lovers, and Black Flag.
Fronted by vocalist Antonion Fryk, who sings in both English and Swedish, with Fredrik Berglund on drums, Joakim Forsgren on bass, Rasmus Fernström on guitar, and Rickard Folke on synths, The Scrags are releasing their latest album Anything in late January of next year via Canadian indie label The Grizzlar. With one leg firmly rooted in rock soil, and the other in outer space, The Scrags will set fire to Edmonton’s autumn sky, like a rock carving in neon light.
